SOUL ADOPTION

Soul Adoption is setup as an informational group that believes in certain rights for people who have been touched by adoption. They are not against adoption, but they do believe certain things need to happen to solidify and make the process proper.

Soul Adoption believes that the industry is in need of reform because no one should be making a profit anywhere in the process of providing a home to a child.

Soul adoption believes that adoption is too big of an issue to be managed at the local level and it should be regulated by the federal government. They believe the loopholes might be causing painful issues to arise with adoption.

It is believed that the adoption industry is not providing enough education and counseling services for the parents to prepare them for the adoption and help them get through it. It is also believed that the children should have a right to know who their real parents are when they reach adulthood. Tracing their ancestry should not be held back from anyone. Being denied information about themselves at birth is wrong.

Soul Adoption believes the process of adoption should not be about families who want to have a child and nurture their needs. The process should be about children who are in need of someone to take care of them. If a family wants to adopt a child strongly enough, they will not turn down a referral. Adoption agreements should be enforceable by law and there should be no turning back once a parent is approved through the process and agrees to take a child. It can be mentally devastating to the child.

Soul Adoption also believes in fathers rights and if the father of a child wants the baby, he should have first choice in exercising his parental rights. A mother putting his child up for adoption is unfair and wrong when deliberately keeping a father from his child.

Soul Adoption believes in the children who need homes and believes the process should be managed much better than it is today.
